Our 2011/2012 program is underway. In September, the chapter hosted a Federal Corporate Transactions and an International Update from Steptoe & Johnson. In October, McGladrey provided an Accounting Methods presentation along with an IFRS update. The presentations were followed by a reception with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.
Please pass along to anyone who is considering joining TEI that their Virginia Chapter meeting fees will be waived for the upcoming year (2011-2012) if they join prior to December 31, 2011. |
In order to solicit more member involvement and new leadership, we have attached, as a side tab on this page, a survey for indicating TEI committee interest. Under Chapter Communications, there is document to provide a vehicle to leave comments and suggestions about a particular Chapter meeting.
On Thursday, November 17th, Jeff Friedman of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan and Tim Gillis of KPMG will do our annual 4 hour CPE SALT seminar at the Dominion facility. A reception will immediately follow.
On Wednesday, December 14th, Rob Hickson will present a Social Media Update and Tim McCormally and Eli Decker from TEI's National Office will be on hand to discuss TEI's advocacy projects. Our annual Holiday dinner will follow their presentations.
