Fellow TEI Members,
I would like to thank Deb Stott for organizing another successful Chapter Roundtable Meeting this past month. The Roundtable Meeting offered attendees a great opportunity to discuss a wide variety of questions and issues and get important feedback from fellow members.
Our final technical program for the 2011/2012 year will be chaired by Angela Whipp and Chuck Berth. Angela and Chuck have put together a great program that covers Federal Audits and Appeals. The afternoon with start with an interactive program led by IRS Appeals Officers, Paul Vanchena and Dale Harper, along with Bob Dallman of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. Bob will stay on to give a high level presentation on Strategic Choices in IRS Tax Audits. The program will wrap up with a presentation by Robert Culbertson and Daniel Luchsinger of Covington & Burling LLP. Robert and Daniel have graciously agreed to provide the group with an encore presentation of that which they gave at the recent TEI IRS Audits and Appeals Seminar, which was very well received. Please mark your calendars to attend this great learning opportunity for you and members of your tax department.
Lastly, please don’t forget to highlight the Annual Chapter meeting on your calendars. This year’s meeting will be held on Friday, June 15th at the Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor, WI. You should have received a separate mailing for this meeting recently.
It’s been an honor to serve as your Chapter President this past year, and I hope to see all of you at the May Technical Session and June Annual Meeting.
